Crate chair (Rietveld Originals x HAY)
The design of this chair has remained virtually the same as the original, which was designed by Gerrit Rietveld in 1934. He made the crate chair from leftover wooden shipping crates. What makes this chair unique? The perfectly balanced proportions in the simple, yet ingenious design.
Give your Crate chair an upgrade and choose extra comfort and style with one of the matching Crate seat cushions. This cushion fits perfectly into the chair seat. You can choose between four different colours for the seat cushion, and, in addition, the cushion has an anti-slip layer at the bottom so it will not shift. The seat cushions also have a Teflon®-coated fabric which makes them water-repellent and UV-resistant.
