In August 2021, The Florian opened in Hoofddorp, near Schiphol Airport. This design hotel was unique because it was developed for millennials and their characteristic wishes and desires. The Florian is housed in a former office building from the 1990s that was spectacularly remodelled by Workshop of Wonders’ interior designers. The emphasis in this transformation was on informal meetings, communication and the luxury hotel feel.
Workshop of Wonders furnished The Florian's 150 hotel rooms with high-quality furniture and materials. They chose timeless classics, such as Rietveld's Press Room Chair, combined with contemporary design from the new generation. Highlights are the luxury in the corners of The Florian. The boardroom (the Clubhouse), with its custom-made house bar, mid-century furniture and lighting by grandmasters such as Visser, Rietveld and Aalto, is also a gem.
