Crate dining table L230 (Rietveld Originals x HAY)
The Crate dining table is part of the Crate Collection, originally designed by Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld in 1934. The series was made from surplus wooden transport crates and has been relaunched in a collaboration between Rietveld Originals x HAY.
The Crate dining table is crafted with respect for the original design and features the same precisely balanced proportions and transparent construction aimed at low production costs and optimal assembly processes. The table is available in two different lengths, with a rectangular tabletop and diagonal crossbars.
The simplicity and spatial design of the table reflect the architect's architectural principles - functionality and comfort without taking up space. The Crate dining table is made of solid pine and finished with a water-based lacquer in various color options. The table is suitable for various outdoor environments.
