The iconic Steltman chair, designed in 1963 as seating for engaged couples perusing wedding rings, is one of Gerrit Rietveld most famous furniture designs. The chair owes its name to Steltman Jewellers, for who Rietveld originally designed this classic item. In 2015 when Stelman Jewellers moved to a new building, Heyligers architects reintroduced the Steltman chairs along with an enormous light object based on the outline of this chair.
In 2015, Heyligers' architects created a new interior design for Steltman Jeweliers' current premises. The Steltman chairs, combined with a huge light object, were again given a prominent place in the shop!
